Job Ad & Profile Description

Position : Engineering & Project Senior Manager

Job Purpose

To provide Refineries and packaging Mechanical, Utilities, Workshop, forklifts and truck, maintenance services in the Factory so that production losses are minimized, technical efficiencies maintained and plant availability to agreed levels is achieved.

Main Responsibilities

Supervision of Subordinates

  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of Technical activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.

Budgets and Plans

  • Initiate capital expenditure proposals, develop and manage maintenance budget to ensure serve the purpose in the most economical way.
  • Monitor the maintenance & repair budget and ensure efficient expenditure during the month and the year to ensure assets are well maintained and secured.

Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures

  • Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for major repairs and preventive maintenance.

Day- to-day Operations

  • Coordinate with the Packaging & Refinery Dept. crude oil Unloading, Mechanical Eng. & Shift Supervisors / Foremen to ensure day-to-day breakdowns are identified and solved.
  • Develop, monitor & lead his/her staff to execute the preventive and corrective maintenance plans of all Refineries ,Packaging & Utilities equipment including vehicles that will assure equipment are always running smooth in high efficient.
  • Supervises the day-to-day Maintenance operations of Technical problems follow up, section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develop detailed maintenance and preventive maintenance plan and ensure the plan is updated on weekly basis.
  • Develop the root cause failure analysis reports identifying the root cause and corrective actions and as well the permanent actions to avoid repetition.

Maintenance & Spare Parts management

  • To ensure all consumable spare parts are available in the store to avoid any stoppage time.
  • Prepare list of critical spare parts for all Equipment to protect company assets.
  • Identify all the min- Max levels for the critical spare parts in order to ensure critical spares availability and minimize breakdowns.

Fuel Management

  • Manage the efficiency of service operations including steam, water & power to ensure safe handling & storage of all site fuels.
  • Develop improvement ideas to reduce utilities consumptions.

Equipment Maintenance Management

  • Ensure all Shifts in the Engineering Department are Monitoring & executing all the maintenance plan to meet the requirements of appropriate legislation & Company policy, to ensure equipment within the Refinery, packing & utilities operations meet the legal procedures & company requirements.

Projects

  • Supervise the implementation of projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Develop the training needs for his department staff to increase the staff Knowledge & experience.
  • Implement continuous process & Equipment reliability improvement programs through TPM program.
  • Train and improve packaging staff capabilities Through TPM

Reporting

  • Prepare reports timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Report the MTTR on weekly & monthly basis.
  • Report the MTBF on weekly & monthly basis.
  • Report the detailed breakdowns for all the Equipment.
  • Report maintenance plan achievement progress on weekly, Monthly basis.
  • Daily reports on the utilities operations.
  • Report the root cause failure analysis for all Equipment.

Health, Safety, & Environment

  • Monitor the adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Related Assignments

  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Required profile for job ad : Engineering & Project Senior Manager

Requirements

Education:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. MBA is an addition.

Language:

  •  Fluent English and Arabic.

Experience: 

  • 8-10 years relevant experience in maintenance field including at least 3 years in Managerial Level, Preferably, 4-6 years relevant experience in FMCG operations maintenance field including at least 3 years in Managerial Level.
